Emmanuel Tembo, the Member of Parliament for Feira Constituency, has urged the 35 beneficiaries of the K4 million loan to invest the funds in ventures that will stimulate economic growth in the district.

The loan, distributed through the Constituency Development Fund (CDF), was handed over to the beneficiaries to support local economic development.

In a statement issued in Lusaka on Tuesday, Tembo admonished the beneficiaries to consider themselves fortunate to receive the support. “It is up to you to make wise decisions in utilizing the CDF loan empowerment you have received,” he stated.

He noted that while progress had been made, more work was needed, expressing hope for visible change and further development in the district.

District Commissioner Luke Chikani commended the beneficiaries for their commitment to using the loans for productive purposes.

“I am impressed by your dedication to utilizing these funds for ventures that will contribute to the district’s economic development,” Chikani said.

Annedy Longwe, the Council’s Assistant Public Relations Officer, also highlighted the council’s ongoing commitment to supporting economic empowerment.

“The council is dedicated to ensuring that the CDF program continues to uplift residents through sustainable projects,” she said.

She further encouraged the beneficiaries to manage the funds responsibly to achieve the intended goals of the program.
