The Football Association of Zambia (FAZ) has urged stakeholders to remain patient, stating that it had not received any official communication from FIFA regarding the aborted Annual General Meeting (AGM).
In a statement issued by FAZ Communication Manager on Saturday, FAZ General Secretary, Reuben Kamanga, clarified that the association was in ongoing discussions with key stakeholders concerning the delayed congress.
“FAZ has not received any correspondence from FIFA or any other body concerning the AGM. We will inform our members and stakeholders as we have always done whenever there is a new development,” Kamanga said.
He reiterated that FIFA had been clear in its communication during the press briefing in Livingstone, where it was stated that an investigation would be conducted, and FIFA would provide guidance on the next steps.

Kamanga further noted that while the delayed process has caused anxiety among stakeholders, FAZ is hopeful that a solution in line with football statutes will be reached soon.
The elective AGM, scheduled for March 29, 2025, in Livingstone, was disrupted after Mufulira-based Damiano Academy and others initiated multiple court actions, including an injunction.
In response to the injunction, FIFA, CAF, and Cosafa representatives held a joint media briefing, emphasizing that such legal actions were contrary to FIFA statutes.
