In a statement of claim filed in the Lusaka High Court on Thursday, Mr Mwanza said by letters dated July 19, 2022, they were notified of the non renewal of their contracts of employment.

He stated LCC by letters dated November 22, 2022 informed the 42 of the recalculated accrued terminal benefit.

Mwanza said total sum of the accrued terminal benefits was K2,326,648.46.

“As a result of the defendant’s failure to pay the accrued terminal benefits, the plaintiffs have suffered loss in value of that money and mental stress and anguish through refusal and or denial to settle the said accrued terminal benefits by the defendant,” they grieved.

They are claiming payment of K2,326,648.46 with interest and damages for mental stress and anguish arising out of the non payment of the said money.
