Everton suffered a disappointing 2-0 defeat to Bournemouth in their final FA Cup fixture at Goodison Park, marking the end of a historic era before their move to Bramley-Moore Dock next season.
The Toffees, five-time winners of the competition, were undone by costly defensive errors, with captain James Tarkowski at fault for both Bournemouth goals.
Midway through the first half, Tarkowski mistimed a sliding tackle on Antoine Semenyo inside the box, conceding a penalty that the Ghanaian forward confidently converted past Jordan Pickford.

In a match reported by BBC, Semenyo remained a constant threat, narrowly missing another effort and forcing a block from Jarrad Branthwaite.
Bournemouth doubled their lead just before halftime when Tarkowski lost possession and failed to challenge Daniel Jebbison, who bundled the ball in from close range.
Everton improved after the break and struck the woodwork three times but failed to breach Bournemouth’s defense.
New signing Carlos Alcaraz hit the post with a 25-yard free kick, while Jake O’Brien’s header and Jack Harrison’s cross also rattled the frame of the goal.
Despite their second-half resurgence, the Toffees’ FA Cup campaign ended in frustration, with Bournemouth securing a place in the fifth round.
