The Electoral Commission of Zambia (ECZ) is reviewing the 2019 Delimitation Report as part of the broader constitutional review process, Chief Electoral Officer Brown Kasaro has said.

In a statement issued Tuesday, Kasaro noted that the report was based on nationwide stakeholder consultations and that the Commission had taken note of ongoing public discourse on delimitation.

“The Commission has taken note of the ongoing public discourse and stakeholder inquiries concerning the matter of delimitation, particularly in relation to the broader national debate on constitutional review,” he said.

Kasaro added that once the internal review process was completed, the ECZ would provide a comprehensive update and engage stakeholders accordingly.

Meanwhile, the Electoral Reform Technical Committee (ERTC), which gathered submissions from all 10 provinces in October 2024, is finalizing its report.

Kasaro stated that, in line with the published roadmap, the report would be submitted to the Executive on April 22, 2025.

He assured the public that the ECZ remains committed to transparency, stakeholder engagement, and maintaining a credible electoral process.
