Zambia Women’s National Team coach, Bruce Mwape, has been putting his local players through their paces in training ahead of next month’s international friendlies against South Korea.
The Copper Queens will face South Korea on April 7 and April 11, 2023 as part of preparations for the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup where they will do battle with Spain, Costa Rica and Japan in Group C of the 32-team tournament to be co-hosted by Australia and New Zealand in July.
The local assemblage will be hoping to fight for a spot in Mwape’s final team that will include foreign based players set to fly to Seoul next week.
However, Mwape will be without defenders Lushomo Mweemba and Esther Banda who have been ruled out of the friendlies due to injuries sustained on club and national duty respectively.
The duo will be out of action for six weeks.
