The death of 23-year-old Precious Muchape, who was found in an unfinished building on Londola Road in the Makeni area on Saturday, has been ruled a suicide.
Police Public Relations Officer, Rae Hamoonga, stated that Muchape’s body was transported to the University Teaching Hospital (UTH) Mortuary for examination after it was discovered.
In a statement issued on Wednesday, Hamoonga reported that a postmortem examination conducted on Tuesday revealed that Muchape had ingested poison.

“The preliminary report from the postmortem examination indicates that Precious Muchape ingested poison,” Hamoonga said, confirming that the cause of death was officially ruled as suicide.
He added that Muchape’s body has been released to her family for burial.
