The Czech Republic has committed to investing €3 million per year in Zambia’s economy from 2024 until 2030, focusing on sectors such as education, health, and nutrition.

Czech Ambassador to Zambia, Pavel Prochazka, announced the investment plan during the Czech National Day celebration held at the Czech Embassy in Lusaka on Wednesday.

“My country will be investing about €3million per year in various sectors such as education, health, nutrition, and many other sectors of Zambia to promote development and good bilateral relations between the two countries,” Prochazka said.

He stated that Zambia had been prioritised in the Czech Republic’s Development Cooperation programme.

“Zambia stood with the Czech people during the Soviet Union occupation and this strong historical bond is reflected in our continued cooperation,” Prochazka explained.
