Brentford secured their second Premier League away win of the season with a 2-1 victory over Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park.

Bryan Mbeumo opened the scoring from the penalty spot after a retake was ordered due to Marc Guehi’s encroachment.

Mbeumo sent Dean Henderson the wrong way to give the Bees the lead, while Kevin Schade doubled the advantage with a powerful header from Mikkel Damsgaard’s cross.

According to the BBC Sports, Palace responded through debutant Romain Esse, who tapped in at the back post shortly after coming on.

Despite late pressure, the Eagles couldn’t find an equalizer, leaving Brentford four points ahead of their London rivals in the table.

Thomas Frank’s attacking trio of Mbeumo, Schade, and Yoane Wissa tested Palace’s backline, while the hosts struggled to create clear-cut chances, relying on Jean-Philippe Mateta’s physical presence.

The introduction of 19-year-old Esse, who scored within two minutes of his debut, provided a rare bright spot for Palace.

The result ends Brentford’s run of one win in nine matches, while Palace, under Oliver Glasner, suffered their first loss in 12 league games.

Manchester United secure hard-fought 1-0 victory over Fulham

Manchester United claimed a vital three points in their bid to climb the Premier League table with a narrow 1-0 win over Fulham at Craven Cottage.

The match offered little in terms of quality or excitement, with both teams struggling to create meaningful opportunities until late in the second half.

The Independent stated that Fulham dominated the first half, dictating the tempo and probing United’s defense, forcing Andre Onana into action on a few occasions. In contrast, United looked sluggish and struggled to maintain possession for much of the opening period.

The visitors improved after the break, controlling more of the ball, and finally found a breakthrough when Lisandro Martinez’s speculative strike from outside the box deflected off Sasa Lukic, looping over Bernd Leno for the decisive goal.

United’s win was secured thanks to a key contribution from substitute Toby Collyer, who cleared a goal-bound header from Joachim Andersen off the line late in the game, preserving the slender lead.
