Manchester United failed to secure back-to-back Premier League wins under Ruben Amorim as Crystal Palace claimed a 2-0 victory at Old Trafford, marking their second successive away win at the venue.
A second-half brace from Jean-Philippe Mateta sealed the three points for Oliver Glasner’s side.
In a match reported by The Independent, Mateta opened the scoring from close range after Maxence Lacroix’s header struck the crossbar following Eberechi Eze’s free-kick.

He then secured the win in the 90th minute, finishing off Daniel Muñoz’s cutback after a swift counter-attack.
The victory was Palace’s third in their last four meetings with United and lifted them to 12th place, pushing Amorim’s side down the table.
Amorim opted for a striker-less formation, benching both Rasmus Højlund and Joshua Zirkzee, with Kobbie Mainoo leading the line.
Although Mainoo hit the post early on, United struggled to convert their dominance into goals, allowing Palace to grow into the game.
Mateta, who had gone close in the first half when André Onana tipped his chipped effort past the post, proved to be the difference.
His first goal came from two yards out after Lacroix’s header rattled the bar, and he made no mistake with his second.
United’s misery was compounded by an injury to Lisandro Martínez, who was stretchered off after appearing to twist his knee.
As Palace’s away fans celebrated in the corner of Old Trafford, United were left searching for answers after another disappointing defeat.
