The students also claimed damages for the fraudulent representations made by Mapanza Institute located in Choma district of Southern Province, as they were reportedly deceived to enrol with the institute after an assurance that they were eligible to sit for the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Zambia examinations scheduled for November, 2022 .
Judge Mwape Bowa had now entered interlocutory judgement in favour of the students after the Institution failed to enter appearance and defence within 21 days after the service of the said writ of summons and statement of claim.
“That the defendant is ordered to pay the plaintiff the sum of K962,373.40 owed to the plaintiffs by the defendant and interest on the amount found due,” Justice Bowa ordered.
