Matero Member of Parliament, Miles Sampa, remains Patrotic Front (PF) president after Judge Situmbeko Chocho discharged the ex-parte order of interim injunction restraining him from holding himself in that position.

This afternoon Judge Chocho discharged the injunction granted to the Raphael Nakacinda faction on Wednesday, restraining Sampa from presenting himself as party president or member of the party.

Justice Chocho said Nakacinda had not informed the Court about the proceedings before another Judge of the same court in which Sampa sued acting president Given Lubinda and secretary Nickson Chilangwa, contesting his suspension from the party.

In the matter before Judge Timothy Katanekwa, Lubinda and Chilangwa are restrained from holding themselves in such positions pending determination of the matter.

“It is hereby ordered and directed that the ex-parte order of interim injunction granted to the plaintiff herein on October 25,2023 be and is hereby discharged for the reason of the plaintiff’s failure from disclosure of all material facts to this Court particularly for failing to disclose the proceedings after another judge of the High Court, Justice Katanekwa under case no.2023/hp/0225,” she stated.

Sampa was on Tuesday elected factional president of PF at a heavily state security guarded elective conference held at Mulungushi International Conference Center in Lusaka.
