The Council of Churches in Zambia (CCZ) has urged youths to meticulously assess any job offers they receive to prevent becoming victims of fraudulent schemes.
The Council advised young people to thoroughly research and verify the legitimacy of job opportunities to protect themselves.
In a statement issued in Lusaka on Friday, Council General-Secretary, Emmanuel Chikoya, said youths should seek guidance from reliable sources and exercise caution when encountering offers that appeared overly advantageous.

“Furthermore, the Council of Churches urges all citizens to cooperate fully with enforcement agencies by reporting any suspicious activities or cases of a similar law nature,” Chikoya added.
The Council of Churches also reiterated its backing for joint endeavors between law enforcement bodies and the community to guarantee a safer and more secure environment for everyone.
This came after the Drug Enforcement Commission (DEC), Zambia Police, the Department of Immigration and the Anti-Terrorism Organization raided Golden Top Support Services, the operation which led to the discovery of a sophisticated syndicate involved in criminal activities.
“We commend the dedication and professionalism displayed by the security agencies involved in this operation. Their vigilance and swift action have contributed significantly to curbing crime and protecting the welfare of our citizens,” he said.
