Copper Queens upbeat as team confront Morocco in Tuesday’s friendly match

Zambia women’s national football team are in positive mood ahead of their second international friendly against Morocco set for Moulay Hassan Stadium in Rabat on September 26, 2023.

The Copper Queens won 2-0 in the first of two friendlies against the Atlas Lionesses and their focus is now on Tuesday’s encounter which would be played at 20:00 hours.

Matches against Morocco are being used to prepare the team for the 2023 COSAFA Women’s Championship, the 2024 Paris 2024 Olympic Qualifiers and the TotalEnergies CAF Women’s Africa Cup of Nations Morocco 2024 qualifiers where they will face Angola in the second round.

Interestingly, the two teams would face off in Group B at the COSAFA Women’s Championship.

Zambia’s other opponents are Mozambique and Comoros.
