Copper Queens coach names squad for international friendlies ( See list )

Copper Queens coach, Bruce Mwape, has named his squad for the back-to-back friendlies against Morocco set for September 22 and 26 in Rabat.

Mwape named the core of the team that featured at the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup and included local players such as Thelma Cheela and Salome Phiri of ZANACO Ladies and Green Buffaloes respectively.

According to a statement, the technical bench would use the friendlies to prepare for the 2023 COSAFA Women’s Championship that will run from October 4 to October 15 in South Africa.

The bench would also have an eye on players in the FAZ Women’s Super League that gets underway on 16 September for the Olympic qualifiers before naming the final COSAFA squad.
