The Independent Churches of Zambia (ICOZ) has urged opposition parties to move away from politics driven by hatred, condemnation, and insults, encouraging them instead to present constructive alternatives to government policies.
Speaking in a phone interview on Saturday, ICOZ Bishop David Masupa emphasized that the ruling United Party for National Development (UPND) holds a mandate until 2026, and opposition parties should focus on providing solutions rather than criticism alone.
Bishop Masupa stressed the importance of collaborative efforts.

“The ruling party should be assisted in running the affairs of the country by offering solutions to the problems Zambia is facing,” he said.
Bishop Masupa added that promoting unity and constructive engagement would better support the country’s development compared to the current trend of divisive politics.
