Chipolopolo striker, Patson Daka, made an appearance for the first time this season during Leicester City’s 3-1 loss to Liverpool in a Carabao Cup third round encounter.
Daka, however, came on as a second half substitute to feature in the last 26 minutes.
The Chipolopolo striker who replaced Nigerian striker Kelechi Iheanacho managed one attempt at goal.
The score was still level at 1-1 when the former RB Salzburg man was introduced into the match.
But late pressure from a resilient Liverpool team resulted into two late goals from Dominik Szoboszlai and Diogo Jota to see off a Leicester side that scored first through a Kasey McAteer goal.
Cody Gakpo restored parity for Liverpool after half time to spark a second half comeback for the Reds.
Daka was close to leaving Leicester City during the transfer window but a deal could not materialise.
Daka’s stay at Leicester City has been frustrating because of lack of game time after a deadline day transfer to either AC Milan or Bournemouth collapsed.
