Chelsea continued their impressive form with a 2-0 victory over Tottenham Spurs at Stamford Bridge in London on Thursday.

Despite a strong comeback attempt by Spurs in the second half, Chelsea’s dominant first-half performance and resilient defense secured the win, extending their long-standing home record against Spurs.

Ange Postecoglou’s team had their hope of securing a European spot amidst their recent struggles diminished.

Postecoglou’s blamed himself for the team’s performance.

“It’s not good enough, I’m going to take responsibility for that. l’ve got to look at myself and see how I can have more impact. When we put on a performance like we did in the first half, obviously my message isn’t getting.” Postecoglou’s said in post match interview.

Meanwhile, Mauricio Pochettino achieved a double victory over his former team as Tottenham dealt a blow to top-four aspirations in the Premier League.
