Artistes Chanda Na Kay are reportedly making waves in the Australian music scene.

This is after they had a performance in Perth last week, Western Australia that attracted huge numbers cutting across races.

Chanda na Kay have paid glowing tribute to the Zambian fans for growing their music and making it recognised on the international platform.
They said it took discipline and dedication to duty for one to make it in their career.

This is according to a statement issued on Wednesday by the Zambia High Commission, to Australia and New Zealand First Secretary for Press and Public Relations, Charles Mucholo.

Chief Executive Officer and Artiste manager for the two artists, Robby Jerahyo said his firm had received booking for Chanda Na Kay to perform in Europe.

Jerahhyo said the music composed by the duo was called “Zaolo”, the Copperbelt colloquial language meaning a variety of electrifying music put together.

And Zambia’s pop singer, actress and songwriter Mirriam Mukape, who performs under the stage name “MAMPI”, was performing along side Chanda na Kay.

Meanwhile, Xavi-Entertainment Founder based in Australia Lombe Mutona advised Zambia music artists to embrace live music performance as it had proved to be a money spinner.

Lombe has taken a keen role in marketing Zambian music in Australia.

Zambia’s High Commissioner to Australia Elias Munshya congratulated Chanda Na Kay for marketing Zambia through music.

“Music could be an effective tool to attract tourists to Zambia,” Munshya said.
