Thirteen people are feared dead after a boat capsized on the Kabanda River in Kawambwa.
Kawambwa District Commissioner, Godfrey Chibuye, confirmed that nine bodies had been retrieved, while a search for the remaining four continues.
Speaking in an interview on Monday, Chibuye said the boat was carrying 19 people heading to work at Kawambwa Sugar Company when it capsized.
Only six passengers managed to swim ashore, it was learnt.
