Banda’s assist highlights Orlando Pride’s 1-1 draw with San Diego Wave

Copper Queens skipper, Barbra Banda, recorded her third assist of the season in Orlando Pride’s 1-1 draw away to San Diego Wave at Snapdragon Stadium.

Banda set up an acrobatic finish for Julie Doyle to open the scoring.

The Pride took the lead on a counterattack after clearing a corner, with Banda driving at the defender and crossing to Doyle.

Banda was substituted at halftime for Brazilian star Marta, who made her 100th appearance for the club.

San Diego Wave equalized in the second half when Makenzy Doniak’s shot deflected off a Pride defender into the net.

Despite the draw ending their winning streak, Orlando Pride remains unbeaten through the first 12 games of the season.
