“SMEs contribute significantly to job creation and economic diversification, yet they face challenges that hinder growth. At Access Bank, we believe in empowering these businesses by providing tailored resources and platforms for collaboration,” Nwogu stated.

He claimed that the revamped SME Business Club offered a range of benefits designed to strengthen the capabilities of entrepreneurs, including enhanced capacity-building programs.

Originally launched two years ago, the initiative has been significantly upgraded and is now accessible across the bank’s 72 outlets nationwide, ensuring wider inclusion for SMEs of all sizes.

“Our goal is to create a vibrant ecosystem where SMEs can flourish through collaboration and knowledge sharing. This initiative is about transforming ideas into thriving businesses and building industry leaders,” Nwogu added.

The bank also shared its own growth story, evolving from a small institution into a banking leader operating in 22 countries and serving over 65 million customers.

This trajectory underscored its understanding of the challenges SMEs face and its dedication to providing solutions.

“Our growth story reflects the possibilities for SMEs when supported with the right resources and determination. The SME Business Club embodies our ethos of driving growth and sustainability for every entrepreneur we serve,” Nwoguemphasized.

Access Bank reaffirmed its role as a trusted partner for Zambian entrepreneurs, with the SME Business Club relaunch aligning with its vision of making financial services accessible and impactful.

“Together, we can build a stronger future for our businesses and our economy,” Nwogu stated.
