Access Bank Zambia has announced the launch of the Access Women’s Network (AWN), a platform designed to empower female employees and promote inclusivity within the organization.
This initiative aims to support women’s career advancement through mentorship, leadership development and community engagement.
In a statement issued in Lusaka on Sunday, the bank’s Board Chairperson, Anne Sampa, stated the importance of AWN, saying: “The empowerment of women is no longer just a social cause—it is a business imperative. The Access Women’s Network represents a bold, strategic initiative to ensure women within Access Bank have the support and resources to thrive.”
Sampa highlighted that the initiative not only aimed to advance career opportunities for women but also to create a meaningful impact in the community.
“As a Board, we are committed to fostering an environment where women are empowered, valued, and given the opportunity to lead—not because of their gender, but because of their undeniable ability and potential,” she added.
