The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) has received 151 cases through its new Online Anonymous Whistleblower System by the end of June 2024, following its launch in April.
The system allowed individuals to report suspected corruption anonymously from any internet-connected device.
In an interview with Zambia Monitor on Monday at the just ended Agricultural and Commercial Show, Queen Chibwe, ACC Assistant Director of Public Education, said the number of reported cases was encouraging given the system’s short operational period.

“So far, we can say it’s a very good response because from April to June we have reached 151,” she noted.
However, Chibwe emphasized the need to verify these reports to distinguish actual corruption cases from non-corruption ones.
“We are currently working on the 151 cases to sift through and identify which ones are corruption cases and which ones are not,” she stated.
Once verified, Chibwe said the ACC would investigate the confirmed corruption cases.
