Erling Haaland led Manchester City’s fightback from 1-0 down to secure a 3-1 victory over Chelsea at the Etihad Stadium, propelling City into the Premier League top four at Chelsea’s expense.

City’s recovery began after Abdukodir Khusanov’s shaky debut gifted Chelsea an early lead, with Noni Madueke capitalizing to score.

However, Josko Gvardiol equalized for Pep Guardiola’s side just before halftime.

In match reported by Al jazeera, Haaland displayed his strength and finesse to score a brilliant chip in the 68th minute and later set up Phil Foden for City’s third, securing their fourth win in five league games.

Meanwhile, Chelsea, with just one win in seven Premier League outings, slipped to sixth.

Goalkeeper Robert Sanchez came under scrutiny for his poor positioning that contributed to Haaland’s decisive goal. Adding insult to injury, Haaland mocked Chelsea fans by flapping his arms like a seagull during his celebration.

Elsewhere, controversy marred Everton’s 1-0 win over Brighton after a contentious penalty decision.

Referee Tim Robinson overturned his initial call following a VAR check, which infuriated Brighton fans and players.

According to The Sun, the crowd erupted as VAR replays were mistakenly shown on the stadium’s big screen, adding to the chaos.

Brighton’s Bart Verbruggen was booked for protesting the decision, and tempers flared at full-time as a brawl broke out between players.

Once calm was restored, Everton celebrated their hard-fought victory with their travelling fans.

Meanwhile, David Moyes celebrated his 700th Premier League game in style, with Ndiaye’s goal sealing an important win.
