Copper Queens assistant coach, Florence Mwila, has been awarded a FIFA scholarship to pursue the CAF A diploma coaching course, a prestigious step in advancing her coaching career.
The scholarship, part of the FIFA Women’s Development Programme under its Coach Education Scholarship initiative, aims to enhance coaching expertise in women’s football globally.
Mwila is currently in Monrovia, Liberia, where the Liberia Football Association (LFA) is hosting the CAF A diploma course for the first time in a decade.
The programme is being conducted at the LFA’s headquarters at the National Sports Stadium, with Mwila among four international coaches participating in the intensive training.
This scholarship is said to reflect FIFA’s dedication to promoting women’s football and empowering women and girls through sport.
It also underscores the ongoing collaboration between FIFA and the Football Association of Zambia to advance women’s football in Zambia by offering high-level coaching opportunities.
The initiative seeks to boost participation in football by girls and women at all levels, strengthening the sport’s development across the globe.
