Patson Daka, a Chipolopolo star, scored his first goal of the season as Leicester City beat West Ham United 3-1 on Tuesday.
This was in new manager Ruud van Nistelroy’s first match in charge.
Tuesday night’s strike was Daka’s 17th goal for Leicester since joining the club in 2021 from Austrian side, Red Bull Salzburg.
Daka came off the bench in the 60th minute of the Premier League encounter and left a lasting impression after a splendid performance in the new Dutch manager’s debut, ensuring his tenure was off to a perfect start.
Daka found the back of the net in the 90th minute after being set up by Danish teammate, Victor Kristiansen, in the box before smashing the ball into the top corner to grab the Foxes’ third goal on the night.
After four months on the sidelines due to injury, Daka made his return to action in the Foxes’ 4-1 defeat to Brendford last weekend.
