Experts in the tech industry will converge in Zambia this month to discuss the challenges and opportunities thrown up by the fintech revolution, with a focus on data governance, financial inclusion, and the rise of Artificial Intelligence (AI).
The summit, set to take place from November 20-21, 2024, at the Lusaka International Convention Centre, would feature a range of thought leaders, among whom is Chitundu Kasase, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of the Innovation Catalyst Center of Africa (ICCA).
Kasase, a transformative leader in Zambia’s tech and innovation sectors, is renowned for turning technological innovations into viable business solutions and driving the growth of Zambia’s startup and innovation ecosystem.

The event will explore the power of AI, the role of data in digital economies, and how technology can be used for social justice.
One of the key sessions, “Dialogues & Debates: Whose Gig (Economy) Is It Anyway?”, would address the intersection of data governance, financial inclusion, and the rapid growth of AI, as well as the challenges posed by the fintech revolution, such as privacy and security concerns.
The summit is expected to attract a diverse group of technologists, artists, activists, funders, policymakers, and researchers from Africa and around the world.
Under the theme “Collective Action for Trustworthy AI,” the gathering will showcase how collective efforts can create a more responsible, trustworthy, and inclusive digital future.
