Zambia Women’s National Team assistant coach, Florence Mwila, has unveiled her final 23-member squad for the 2024 HOLLYWOODBETS COSAFA Women’s Championship, set to take place from October 22 to November 2 in Gqeberha.

Mwila, who will lead the technical bench, has selected an all-local squad from the Women’s Super League, aiming to reclaim the title they won in 2022 and lost to Malawi in last year’s finals.

The Copper Queens squad featured notable players such as defender Margaret Belemu and midfielder Evarine Susan Katongo, along with several members of the Paris 2024 Olympics squad.

Mwila’s side would face Angola on October 24 and Comoros five days later in Group C matches.

This year’s tournament included 14 teams spread across four groups, with only the group winners advancing to the semi-finals.
