Situmbeko named banking CEO of the year, as Access Bank scoops three awards

Access Bank Zambia has reportedly scooped three awards at the 14th Global Banking and Finance Review Awards.

The Bank’s Head of Corporate Communications and Brand Management, Kalumbu Kearns, announced that Access Bank received accolades for Best Bank for Social Media Zambia – 2024, Best Banking Group, and Banking CEO of the Year Zambia 2024, awarded to Lishala C. Situmbeko.

In a statement issued in Lusaka on Sunday, Kearns stated that the recognition reflected the bank’s unwavering commitment to excellence, innovation and leadership in the Zambian banking sector.

Commenting on the development, the bank’s CEO, Lishala Situmbeko expressed his gratitude for receiving the Banking CEO of the Year Zambia 2024 award, emphasizing that it acknowledges the hard work and dedication of the entire team.

“Importantly, we remain indebted to our customers who have stood by us throughout our continued transformative journey,” he said.

Situmbeko said that the awards motivated the bank to strive for excellence and deliver value to all its stakeholders.
