The Dean of the Diplomatic Corps, Walid Hassan, has emphasized the importance of intercultural dialogue and cooperation as Zambia celebrates 60 years of independence and strong diplomatic relations.

Speaking at the 4th Diplomatic Fun Fair held at the Lusaka Showgrounds on Saturday, which featured participation from over 25 countries, the Palestinian Ambassador to Zambia highlighted the significance of cultural exchange in fostering mutual understanding among nations.

“Zambia’s 60th independence anniversary on October 24 is a testament to the country’s resilience, unity and progress,” Hassan said.

He praised Zambia’s commitment to diplomacy, peace, and development, noting its pivotal role in regional stability and the Southern African Liberation Movement.
