The Advocates for National Democracy and Development (ANDD) has urged President Hakainde Hichilema and his government to prioritise the interests of the Zambian people in their decision-making and policy implementation.
Speaking on Millennium TV’s Pulse Nation program on Thursday in Lusaka, ANDD Executive Director, Samuel Banda, emphasized the need for the government to take the development process seriously and avoid politicizing it.
Banda reminded the UPND that they were voted into power to foster economic growth and reduce the cost of essential commodities.

He expressed concern that the government had not been able to maintain a 24-hour electricity supply, a service Zambians needed for their homes and businesses.
“Zambians are becoming frustrated with the way the UPND is running the country,” Banda said, warning that if the ruling party fails to address these issues, they may not remain in power for long.
