A bitter family dispute has reached the Lusaka High Court as former Vice-President, Enock Kavindele Senior faces off against his son, Enock Kavindele Junior, in a contentious legal battle over property documents.
Enock Junior, acting as the attorney for Maria Senda Mampala, has accused his father of withholding crucial property documents related to three valuable properties in Lusaka: Lot No. 7273/M, Lot No. 7290/M, and Lot No. 7291/M, all registered in Senda’s name.
Senda granted Enock Junior Power of Attorney on August 13, 2024, authorizing him to manage these properties, execute necessary documents, and handle all transactions.
However, Enock Senior allegedly failed to transfer the Certificates of Title for these properties to his son, despite repeated requests.
Enock Junior claimed that this refusal has hindered his ability to carry out his responsibilities, including time-sensitive transactions, resulting in significant financial and personal losses for Senda.
He is now seeking a court order to compel his father to hand over the Certificates of Title and restrain him from interfering with the properties.
Additionally, he is demanding damages for the inconvenience caused and interest on any sums found due.
