Olympic bronze medallist, Muzala Samukonga, finished second in the Men’s 400-meter race at the Lausanne Diamond League in Switzerland.
Samukonga clocked 44.06 seconds, narrowly missing first place.
Paris 2024 Olympic silver medalist Matthew Hudson-Smith of Britain took the top spot with a time of 44 seconds.
The Zambian athlete delivered another impressive performance, nearly overtaking the British runner, who maintained his early lead. Hudson-Smith’s 44-second finish marks his third in five weeks.
Meanwhile, third place went to Botswana’s Busang Collen Kebinatshipi.
