The remaining 212 applicants (10 percent) were found ineligible due to reasons such as completing Grade 12 before 2020, failing to attach required documents, submitting incorrect admission letters, or not meeting the age requirements.
Among the 1,852 eligible applicants, 826 were admitted to science-based programs (45 percent) and 1,026 to arts-based programmes (55 criticizes). The gender distribution of eligible applicants included 1,091 males (59 percent) and 761 females (41 percent).
Kawanda also highlighted that HELSB received two applications from individuals living with disabilities, both of whom have been considered for the award.
