Team Zambia narrowly missed a podium finish in the Men’s 4x400m Relay at the Paris 2024 Olympics, clocking 3:02.76 to secure 8th place in the final.
The United States claimed gold with an Olympic record time of 2:54.43, while Botswana took silver, setting a new African record with a time of 2:54.53.
This event marked the conclusion of Team Zambia’s campaign at the Paris Games, and their first Olympic relay participation since 1988.

Despite finishing fifth in the semifinals, Zambia advanced to the final by recording the second fastest time overall.
Team Zambia’s relay squad featured bronze medalist Muzala Samukonga, alongside Patrick Nyambe, Kennedy Luchembe, and David Mulenga.
