In alignment with the theme of the 96th Agricultural and Commercial Show, Lusaka Water Supply and Sanitation Company has started implementing technology and water supply services for its customers.
Company Public Relations Officer, Ruth Mulenga, told Zambia Monitor in an interview on Friday that the company was about to transition from over-the-counter transactions to digital.
“Come August 31st 2024, we are going 100 percent digital,” Mulenga said.

Furthermore, to mitigate the drought crisis in the country, the company has also connected surface and ground water.
“We are connecting the two networks to ensure that there is equitable distribution of the resource,” she said.
Mulenga added that the drought crisis called for innovative means through which the water business could still serve its clients.
“The interlinked connection is one of the drought response measures where we connect the surface and ground water,” she stated.
