United Party for National Development (UPND) Copperbelt Chairperson, Elisha Matambo, vows that the ruling party will not give chance to those who ‘destroyed’ to bounce back .
“We will not give chance to those who destroyed the Copperbelt to bounce back,” Matambo said in Kitwe during the party mobilisation on Sunday.
He urged officials not to allow any person coming to divide the country again and that they should be on the lookout and block all the holes where the “snake is trying to show its ugly head.”
Matambo further commissioned party officials to get back to the grassroots while re-emphasising that those who allegedly destroyed the country would never bounce back to power.
“This meeting is also aimed at comparing notes as we embark on a serious party mobilisation ahead of 2026 General Election. It is also meant to audit all party structures in Kitwe District,” he said.
During the meeting Matambo launched motor bikes and bicycles which President Hakainde Hichilema donated to help the party officials from all structures in terms of party mobilisation ahead of the 2026 General Elections.
Matambo believed that the donated motor bikes and bicycles would further help party officials to re-energize and fire on all ‘cylinders’ in the party mobilisation drive.
He encouraged party officials to continue rallying behind President Hichilema as he claimed that the Head was determined to deliver development to the people in all sectors of the economy on the Copperbelt and beyond.
