Boy, 15, impregnates girl, 13; another in Shibuyunji District defiles 6-year-old baby

A 15-year-old boy in Kanyama Compound has defiled and pregnanted a 13-year-old girl.

Police said the girl visited her boyfriend’s house in Kanyama Compound at an unknown date and only returned to her parents house on March 23, 2024.

This was revealed in a statement issued in Lusaka on Monday by Deputy Police Public Relations Officer, Danny Mwale.

“The defiler was equally a child who is doing some piece works,” Mwale stated.

He added that the two children were placed in custody of their guardians as they wait to be taken to Social Welfare for further action.

“Meanwhile, a docket has been opened against the boy and a medical report form issued to the girl,” he said.

In a similar case, a 17-year-old boy of Shibuyunji district was arrested for defiling a 6-year-old girl.

“The boy and the girl go to the same school within Shibuyunji District,” Mwale mentioned.

He said the boy was in grade eight while the girl is in grade two.

“Victim Support Unit officers who are investigating the matter revealed that on March 20, 2024 at unknown time but during school break time, the suspect found the girl playing alone outside one of the class rooms and told her to follow him,” he added.

Mwale further said the boy led the girl to a nearby bush where he was found having canal knowledge of her by a passer-by who apprehended him and reported the incident to the school authorities.

“Medical report form was issued to the victim’s parents to help her seek medical attention while the suspect was released pending further action,” he said.
