Renowned Zambian rapper, Mwila Musonda, artistically known as Slap Dee has announced the third installment of his popular Black na Await album series.
The rapper who announced this via his Facebook page had set this month as the release date for “Black na White 3”.
The rapper on Friday night posted an image with the writings BWIII, with the release date appearing on the imagery, sending his fan base into frenzy.
Shortly after that, Musonda posted an interesting promotional video where he was being interviewed on set by journalist, Brian Mwale, who himself broke the internet this week by claiming that he was fired from his new job at a named parastatal, on accusation that he belonged to the former ruling party, short after resigning from the national broadcaster.
In the video, Mwale asked Slap when he was releasing his next album, of which the rapper responds: “Brian, I’ll be very honest with you. This is the last time I speak on that or on the album. I’m releasing my album on February 23, 2024, we release Black na White 3.”
Earlier in the conversation, the rapper claimed he does not brag because his success was meant to be a blessing to others.
“I don’t see myself saying I’ve got a bigger house than you do, or saying I’ve got a better car than you drive. I believe that the work that I do is meant for others to benefit more than myself. I believe, if I make it in the industry, it must help somebody go to school, it must make somebody benefit.”
