Acting Secretary to the Cabinet, Patrick Kangwa, has challenged the Ministry of Home Affairs and Internal Security to meet the housing and office accommodation challenges in the police force.
Kangwa also admonished the Ministry of Home Affairs Permanent Secretary and Ministry of Home Affairs and Internal Security to engage individual constituencies and request for funds to aid the development of local police stations.
He said this during the launch of the Zambia Police Service commission website, strategic plan and balance scorecard for 2023-2026 in Lusaka on Friday.

He added that the provision of the recently procured 156 4×4 motor vehicles was just the beginning of what the government was yet to do in addressing the transport challenges in the police force.
“I am pleased to inform you that government recognise the need for more transport and will endeavour to provide transport to ensure that police officers and the immigration officers work well as they maintain law and order in the nation,” Kangwa stated.
