Government has through the Ministry of Technology and Science, extended its promises for better health and educational infrastructure and enhancement of the distribution of agriculture farm inputs in Lunga district of Luapula.
Addressing the people of Lunga district on Thursday, Technology and Science Minister, Felix Mutati explained that the Ministry of Local Government reorganized local council administration operations to efficiently manage the Constituency Development Fund (CDF) for various projects.

Mutati said government was committed to investing in the construction of essential facilities like schools and health posts.
He further stressed that government aimed to support school leavers by providing sponsorship opportunities for tertiary education using funds from the CDF in the district.
Extensively, the Minister emphasized government’s commitment to improving the distribution of agricultural inputs.
He said that a new dedicated team would be formed to ensure efficient and diligent execution of such responsibilities, with a clear warning that officials hindering the distribution would be replaced without exception.
Meanwhile, Luapula Province Minister, Njanvwa Simutowe, urged the residents of Lunda district to monitor ongoing developmental projects so as to realise long-lasting infrastructure and safe guard the investments for the benefit of not the people present but also for future generations.
Simutowe said the revised 2024 CDF sum of K30.6 million would largely provide for all developmental requisites in Lunga.
The Ministers gave these accounts during the ground breaking of the construction of a mobile network telecommunication tower and a postal services office in the district.
