Charles Mung’onge, one of the two who did not make it in the ongoing rescue activities, has been buried at Chingola Central Cemetery.
Meanwhile, Mwasha Kakoma, who survived the mine tragedy accident in which 31 were feared dead in Chingola is out of danger.
The burial procession was characterized by grief after family members broke down in tears.
Addressing mourners, Copperbelt Minister, Elias Matambo, said the government was doing everything humanly possible to rescue the trapped miners.

“We are doing everything possible to ensure that miners being trapped at the tunnels are rescued alive,” Matambo pledged.
He told mourners, he would spearhead fasting and prayer starting from Friday onwards.
Chingola Central lawmaker, Chipoka Mulenga, said during a media briefing that the survivor, Kakoma, was out of danger.
“The good news is that the survivor of the mine accident is out of danger, he has been removed from ICU and taken to an ordinary ward, “Mulenga said.
