Chipolopolo forward, Fashion Sakala, has been appointed club captain of his new Saudi Pro League team Al Fayha.
According to a post on the club’s official Facebook page, Technical Director Vuk Rasovi had appointed the former Rangers man as the new captain.
Sakala who signed for the new team for deal worth 3 million British Pounds has been in fine form for the new club scoring three times in the process.
Sakala had been a regular for his team, featuring in all league games the club had played so far.
The Zambian winger was used as a striker in the club’s most recent match against Al Shabab last Friday which ended in a one-nil loss for Sakala and company.
Al Fayha currently sit on 10th position in the Saudi Pro League.
The club posted two different posts confirming that Sakala is the new captain.
“Director Vuk Rasovi has appointed Fashion Sakala as the new team captain,” read on of posts.
The other post on the page confirms that the new captain Sakala and Rasovi will address the press at 11 AM Saudi time.
“To be held at 11 AM Saudi time, the press conference of technical director Vok Razovic and captain Fashion Sakala to talk about the confrontation of Faiha and Turkmenistan people in tournament competitions.”
