The political contestation currently taking place in the former ruling party, Patriotic Front (PF) appears to be far from over.
On Saturday, a day after presidential hopeful Miles Sampa forcefully held a briefing castigating the top leadership, newly crowned national mobilisation chairperson, Bowman Lusambo, toured Matero markets in the name of buying cassava, eliciting attention from the crowd.
Sampa who is Matero Member of Parliament is currently at the centre of political contestations in the party and the tour by the self-styled political bulldozer seems to have arisen from the political jabs the lawmaker has been throwing at the party leadership.
According to a video clip which is doing rounds on social media, the former Kabushi lawmaker was seen touring the Lilanda Market amidst cheers.

“I want to buy cassava, where is tute (cassava),” Lusambo was heard saying to the crowd, as the traders complained about the high cost of essentials such mealie meal.
The crowd continued chanting ‘bulldozer, bulldozer ‘ and the pabwato (on the boat) slogans as he toured the market in ‘search of cassava’.
The recent appointments by the PF acting president, Given Lubunda, seem to have angered most party bigwigs as the decision had seen Raphael Nakachinda elevated to the post of national secretary, and former Ambassador to Ethiopia occupying the position of party spokesperson.
Lusambo was also appointed chairperson for mobilisation in a move seen to be preparing a political comeback of former President Edgar Lungu.
