Self-styled ‘bulldozer’, Bowman Lusambo, on Saturday toured Kabushi market in what seems to be a launch of a political come-back, putting the township on stand still.
Since he lost the Kabushi parliamentary seat through a court nullification and subsequent barring from standing elections by the Electoral Commission of Zambia (ECZ), Lusambo seemed to have maintained touch with the Kabushi community.
The walk, which started with buying some essentials at Kabushi Market, saw people trooping to the market to get a glimpse of the self-styled politician.
Others were heard telling Lusambo to persuade former President Edgar Lungu to recontest the 2026 elections as they bemoaned the high cost of living and other harsh economic realities.

“Twachula pafula ifintu fyonse nafinina umutengo, tulefyaya ba Lungu babwelelepo (We have suffered too much, everything has gone up, tell the former President to recontest elections,” one of the traders was head shouting at Lusambo.
The residents also complained of lack of equity in the distribution of market spaces by the council and market managers in major markets.
Other traders said Lusambo should come back as the member of parliament for better representation as they accused the incumbent Bernard Kanengo who took over from in a by-election last year.
Fearing that the law on unlawful assembly might catch with him if he attempted to address the people, the former Kabushi law maker did not address residents.
