A Zambian Police Officer identified as Chief Inspector, Evans Siame, deployed to the Southern African Development Community Mission in Mozambique has died in a road traffic accident in that country.
State House Chief Communications Specialist, Clayson Hamasaka, confirmed the death by Chief Inspector Siame in a statement issued in Lusaka on Wednesday.
Hamasaka said Chief Inspector Siame passed away in a road traffic accident on Saturday in Cabo Delgado Province of Mozambique.

“The deceased was among the Five Police Officers deployed from Zambia to SADC mission in Mozambique to support the transition of the Rapid Deployment Force to the Multidimensional Force,” he said.
President Hakainde Hichilema has learnt with sadness, the passing of Chief Inspector Siame and expressed his heartfelt condolences to the family, friends and his colleagues.
