Zambia is set to host the Africa Music, Arts and Cultural Exhibition where thousands of delegates are expected to attend, authorities have revealed.
Ministry of Youth, Sports and Arts Permanent Secretary In-Charge of Art, Chama Fumba, said the prestigious event will be hosted at the Mulungushi International Conference from 20th to 23rd June 2023.
Chama disclosed this in a statement issued on Monday in Lusaka.
He urged artists, entrepreneurs, and communities to join hands in rallying behind this pivotal event, which aims to generate employment opportunities and enhance the economic prospects of African youths.
“The Africa Music, Arts, and Cultural Exhibition organized by the All-Africa Students Union, represents a dynamic and economically significant event that will highlight the crucial role of arts as the engine for Africa’s renaissance,” Fumba said.
He added that this eagerly anticipated conference promises to catalyse economic growth and development, with young people from across the continent converging to show Africa’s finest arts and creative diversity.
Fumba said the conference presents a unique platform for promoting trade, tourism, and investment opportunities, fostering economic synergies, and creating avenues for exploring the creative economy.
“This unparalleled showcase of African artistic talent holds immense potential to stimulate economic activities and unlock new opportunities, making it a truly impactful and unforgettable event,” He said.
