Small and Medium Enterprise Development Minister Elias Mubanga, said the launch of the Zambia Chapter and the Zim-Zambia Business Forum was well timed for the country and the continent.

Mubanga said this provided the continent with the opportunity to deal with diverse challenges in a coordinated approach and to refocus economies in a way that would stimulate broader, resilient and more sustainable growth and development going forward.

“In light of this, I would like to acknowledge the CEO Africa Roundtable as a platform for championing economic development across the African region. The Zambian economy and the continent at large will definitely benefit from the existence of the Roundtable in the country,” he said.

Mubanga expressed confidence that with improved capacities in economic management among people, the continent would rise above the challenges by turning these challenges into opportunity.

“We are privileged as a country to be the second country where the Roundtable has successfully set its footprints as demonstrated by the launch of the Zambian chapter,” he said.
