Power Utility Firm, ZESCO Limited has extended the grace period for those involved in illegal connections to May 31, 2023.
Company Senior Manager for Corporate Affairs, Caristo Chitamfya, in a statement issued on Tuesday said the 30-day extension is intended to give customers an opportunity to come forward to declare illegal connections.
Chitamfya said the Corporation has observed that the number of customers declaring illegal connections has tremendously increased since the initial amnesty period was announced.
“This is an indication that customers recognize and appreciate ZESCO’s intention to normalize the illegal connections and clean up the system in order to improve on the quality of service delivery,” he said.
